What do I need to file form 2290 Colorado?
Colorado and other states have to file HVUT using the Form 2290 each year. The current tax year is from
01 July 2019 and extends till 30 June 2020. If you have registered a heavy highway vehicle with a gross
weight of 55,000 pounds or more in your name in Colorado and other states, then you must file
IRS form 2290 and pay the HVUT Colorado and in other states where your business is based. If you’ve used
your vehicle for the first time in the current month, then IRS HVUT must be filed within the last day

Form HVUT Penalties

31st August of a tax year is equal to 4.5% of your total tax due. This is assessed on a monthly basis
for up to five months.
